How to crop an image in a circle
Add your photo

Position the circle
Drag the circle to move it and pull a corner handle to resize it. It always stays perfectly round.

A real circle, not just a round preview
Many editors only show a round frame and still save a rectangle. Here the exported file is actually circular: the pixels outside the circle are fully transparent, and the edge of the circle is anti-aliased, so it looks smooth rather than jagged at any size.
The file is a PNG because PNG is the format with a proper alpha channel that every app understands. A JPG cannot store transparency and would fill the corners with white.
No resampling happens. The circle is cut from the original at full resolution, so a circle 1,200 pixels across in your selection is 1,200 pixels across in the download.
Avatar and profile picture cropper
Almost every platform shows profile pictures as circles: Discord, WhatsApp, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Teams, Zoom, Slack and Google accounts among them. Framing your photo in a circle first shows you what will be visible after the platform crops it — and whether an ear, a hairline or a logo is about to be cut off.
You can upload the round PNG itself, or use it as a guide. Most sites accept a square image and apply their own circular mask; the transparent corners of your PNG simply disappear behind it. For an exact pixel size, crop here first and then resize the result.
Discord pfp cropper
Discord displays avatars as small circles, so a busy photo loses detail fast. Fill most of the circle with the face or the subject, keep the background simple, and check the preview at small size before uploading.
Transparent PNGs work well as Discord profile pictures and server icons: whatever is outside the circle is transparent, so the edge stays clean in both light and dark themes.
