Your files stay on your device

Every tool on this site runs in your browser. When you compress, convert, resize or crop an image, remove a background, recognise text, or create or edit a PDF, your browser reads the file and processes it on your device. There is no upload step: your images and PDFs are not sent to this site’s server or to anyone else, and they are not stored anywhere but your device.

Results are created in the browser and saved where your browser saves downloads. Use a tool’s reset or remove control, or close the tab, to clear its working state. That does not delete originals or results you have downloaded; your device’s file manager does.

A file leaves your device only if you send it yourself. The Share button in Blank Image Generator, for example, hands the image you made to your device’s share menu, and the tool pages’ share buttons send the page link only.

Files the tools download from this site

Some tools need extra files to run. They come from this site’s own server, not from a third-party CDN, and nothing about your files is sent to fetch them:

• Background removal and face pixelation download an image-segmentation or face-detection model and the ONNX runtime that runs it.
• Text recognition downloads the Tesseract OCR engine and the data for the language you choose.
• Fonts are served by this site as well; no request goes to a font service.

What is stored in your browser

These items stay in your browser and are never sent to us. None of them contains your images or PDFs:

• Cache Storage: the AI models and runtime above, so they are not downloaded again on every visit.
• IndexedDB: the OCR language data you have used.
• Local storage: your light or dark theme, your analytics choice (see below), your optional tool ratings, your Snake game best score and the settings of Heart Locket GIF Maker.
• Session storage, cleared when you close the tab: the settings of Blank Image Generator and Make Image Low Quality and a flag so the rating prompt is not repeated.
• To remove all of it, clear this site’s data in your browser settings. That does not touch files in your Downloads folder.

Analytics and cookies

Two services measure how the site is used. Neither receives your files, file names or recognised text:

• Google Analytics 4 records the pages you view, the page you came from, your device, browser, screen size, approximate location and interactions such as scrolling and clicks on links to other sites. In the photo editor and WhatsApp DP Maker it also records which feature was used and the export format, never the photo. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<id> (up to two years). Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. It loads only after you first interact with a page, or a few seconds after the page has finished loading.
• Vercel Web Analytics counts page views with the page address, the referring page, browser, operating system, device type and country. It sets no cookies.

Your choice

If your browser uses a European time zone, a banner asks before Google Analytics loads, and it does not load unless you accept. In addition, Google Analytics stores no cookies by default for visitors from the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland.

You can change your answer at any time with “Privacy choices” in the footer. If you refuse, Google Analytics is not loaded on the pages you open next, and its cookies on this domain are deleted. Vercel Web Analytics sets no cookies and is not affected by this choice.

How long data is kept

• Your files: not at all, because they never reach us.
• Google Analytics: event data and user data for 14 months. The user-data period starts again whenever you return, so it ends 14 months after your last visit. Aggregated reports may be kept longer.
• Emails you send: as long as needed to answer, and deleted on request.
• Browser storage: until you clear it.

Search engines and advertising

When pages change, their public addresses are sent to search engines through IndexNow so they can be crawled again. That message contains no visitor data.

The site shows no advertising and shares no data with ad networks. If that ever changes, this policy will say so first.

Your rights and how to contact us

Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask what personal data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to its processing, and complain to your data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

This version applies from the date shown at the top of this page. When the site starts using a new service or a new kind of data, the policy and that date change with it.
